LOCAL AREA

Situated in a Heritage Conservation area, Lansdowne House is positioned on a wide avenue designed by the architect Charles Busby with Brunswick Square to the east and Palmeira Square to the west. Step outside and you will immediately be hit by the salty sea air from the seafront 3 mins walk at the end of the road.

Hove Lawns, a wide stretch of protected open park land is perfectly placed between the local heritage buildings and the sea. It is a short 15 minute walk along the promenade into Brighton. Alternatively you can enjoy the local independent shops, cafes, wine bars, bakeries and award winning restaurants a short walk from the house.

Brighton & Hove has a huge amount to offer from having fun on the World famous Brighton Palace Pier to shopping in the Laines and visiting the magnificent Pavilion or seeing the city from above on the BA i360. You can cycle along the seafront on one of the many bikes that are easy to hire or you can rent a paddle board or kayak and see the city from the sea. There are also many boat trips that can be taken from Brighton Marina.

If you feel more adventurous you can go east of Brighton Marina where there is a ribbon of white chalk cliffs that give way to the impressive and expansive wave cut platforms that can be seen at low tide via the under-cliff walkway that stretches from the Marina to Saltdean.

The city has music, sporting events and festivals running throughout the year from Brighton Pride in August to The Burning the Clocks parade on the Winter Solstice in December. You can also see the breath-taking murmurations that occur daily from mid November through to the end of February.

Only 3 miles north is Devils Dyke and the South Downs National Park which you can reach via car or bus where you can take many different walks and cycle routes and you get breath-taking views of the city.

There are also many local vineyards that are worth a visit. We look forward to showing you why we love this unique and amazing city
